Three months ago (In December!), Jasper turned ONE! Happy Birthday, little spud! Here are a few photos from the small birthday celebration at our house.
One year old Jasper is curious, sweet, happy and adventurous. He is definitely a "daddy's boy" right now. He wants to be with Greg ALL OF THE TIME. If Greg puts him down and walks away for a moment, one can expect a full blown meltdown with stomping feet and all. Poor Greg...
In addition to being in Greg's arms, Jasper enjoys: waving around a big foam sword; being chased around the couch, doing whatever Simms and Roscoe are doing, being tickled, making dinosaur and bear sounds (RAAHHRR!) pointing you in the direction he wants you to take him, bringing you a book to read, throwing a ball, launching bits of food off his plate, etc. He will point to his ears if you ask him where his ears are. He has 6 sharp teeth. He shows no sign of weaning anytime soon. He does not like having his diaper changed. He loves being outdoors. He likes sneaking into the washroom and dumping the water out of Rudy's water bowl. He climbs on and off the couch himself. He tries to climb up bar stools, strollers, book shelves, etc. He has moments of playing independently and entertaining himself; but overall but prefers being with someone. He does NOT sleep through the night (he still wakes every 2-3 hours!!) In fact, tt's pretty much like having a newborn in the house.
There is more clutter in the house, more tears to wipe away, less sleep for your parents... but more happiness in our family with Jasper here.
