Happy Halloween!

This year, Simms dressed up as a ferocious dinosaur for Halloween.  We took him to Belhaven Street Block Party which was a fun-filled family night of  live music, costume contests, friends, and festive decorations. This will definitely be an annual event for us.

ROAR...!  Is that a ferocious little dinosaur, or what?

Poor dog was dressed up as a cat for Halloween.
You can just see the embarrassment in his eyes...

meow.

Simms's friends, Eleanor (dressed as ladybug) and Griffin (dressed as penguin).
All the excitement and activity had them tuckered out.

Simms's buddy, Ella, dressed as an adorable fairy

After the block party, Simms went "trick-or-treating" at Pop and Grandma Barbara's house

Mini Jerel

These days, Roscoe is looking more and more like his dad.   Not only that, but he's also becoming quite the soccer player (like his dad).  You'd be impressed with his dribbling and ball handling skills.  Can't wait until he and Simms are old enough to be on a Little Leauge Soccer team.

Still in the Fifth?!

Simms had his 15 month check-up last week and everything looks good.  But despite our best efforts these last 3 months,  he remains in the 5th percentile for weight.  It's a bit surprising since all of his care takers  (Greg, Barry, Barbara, Nora, Upa, and I) have worked really hard to increase his caloric intake.  We've  been supplementing his milk, adding more snacks, putting butter on food,  popping cheese cubes in his mouth every chance we get...  But he just doesn't seem to be gaining much.  Good news is that the Prevacid seems to have resolved his reflux  (no more daily vomiting - yay!) and overall Simms appears to be a perfectly happy, healthy little boy.

See...I like eating!  I just can't seem to put on much weight...

Four Happy Years!

Happy anniversary to us! What a great 4 years it's been. And it just keeps getting better and better. Every day, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Unfortunately, I'm in Washington DC this week,  but I should be back in Mississippi early enough to have dinner with my wonderful husband and baby Simms.
